RE:ACT EU (Respond – Engage – Activate – Connect – Transform Europe through Youth) aims to strengthen young people's capacity to engage in democratic life, counter disinformation, and co-create inclusive, participatory civic spaces across Europe. The project responds to a growing gap between young people and institutions, driven by declining political trust, limited civic education, and unequal access to learning and mobility opportunities. In parallel, digital spaces—though central to youth culture—often amplify polarisation, exclusion, and disengagement. To address these challenges, the project will develop and deliver innovative, youth-centred formats that combine non-formal education, digital storytelling, and local activism. Activities include participatory Youth Policy Labs, civic education games, podcast series, creative campaigns, and inclusive local hubs. These initiatives will help young people explore how democracy functions, understand EU rights and tools, and contribute meaningfully to shaping their communities and policies. RE:ACT EU promotes critical thinking, media literacy, and digital resilience, while also reinforcing belonging and agency among youth from diverse backgrounds—particularly those with fewer opportunities. Youth workers will benefit from transnational capacity-building formats, collaborative training and practical toolkits to improve the quality and outreach of their work. The project will also generate evidence and policy insights to support more responsive and youth-inclusive policy frameworks at national and EU levels. By prioritising creativity, accessibility, and long-term relevance, RE:ACT EU will build stronger bridges between young people, institutions, and civil society, laying the groundwork for more democratic, inclusive, and youth-driven Europe.
