Description | GDOT Project 0020270 proposes 13 additional truck parking spaces at Rest Area #88 for a total of 27 spaces upon completion. The 13 additional truck parking spaces are to be developed by adding new spaces on either side of the existing truck spaces and shifting the entrance and exit drives to the east and west to accommodate the added spaces. The additional truck parking spaces will be 20 feet wide with 74-foot long bays, and a 30-degree parking angle in general with some variation to fit additional spaces. The Truck Parking Development Handbook, USDOT/FHWA (September 2022) will be followed for the design criteria. WB-67 will be used as the design vehicle to validate the proposed layout. |
