Description | National Grid is undertaking a multi-year exterior restoration of the nearly century-old Art Deco Niagara Mohawk Building in downtown Syracuse. The project aims to preserve the historic structure while maintaining its functionality for over 2,000 employees. The restoration includes repairing damaged front doors, replacing black spandrel panels with durable replicas, brickwork repairs, parapet and flashing repairs, decorative stainless steel and glass work, and installing a new roof. The restoration is designed by Nelson Associates Architectural Engineers and complies with historic preservation requirements. |
