Description

The project consists mainly of restoring the roof elements, the west and south facades and some elements of the east and north facades of the former convent of Deschambault. In more detail, the work consists of: - redo the foundation drainage system and establish a clean foundation base; - repoint and waterproof the foundations; - join the stone wall of the south, north and east facades; - restore the masonry staircase; - restore and/or replace the wood clapboard of the south and west facades; - replace the windows and doors of the south and west facades with traditional modals; - replace the roof covering of the galleries and the building with traditional sheet metal; - restore wood tanners on the east, west and south facades; - repair and add traditional stainless steel gutters on the south facade; - restore ice stops: - restore the lightning rod; - remove the light wells and close the openings; - replace railings of galleries and balconies with a traditional model; - the creation of a work of art within the framework of the arts integration policy; - remove the two galleries on the front façade and reconstructions as they were at the beginning of the 20th century.
