Öresund Metro is a project in the collaboration between Copenhagen and Malmö and key stakeholders on both sides of the Öresund, working to realise a metro between the cities. Copenhagen and Malmö have unique opportunities, as part of a cross-border metropolitan region, to take further steps towards working more efficiently, offering citizens better services and companies good opportunities to develop and create jobs. Reliable, comfortable and robust modes of transport are needed for borgerne in de to villages, but for hele Greater Copenhagen. We need an Oresund Metro. Previous phases’ investigations have shown that Öresund metro is technically feasible and provides a great benefit. The stakeholder analysis from the project Öresundsmetro Phase III shows that the awareness of Öresund metro is low among stakeholders and decision-makers at regional and national level. Therefore, the project continues in Phase IV to mature and refine the effects and potentials of the Øresund Metro for decision-makers with a view to ensuring a coherent and well-functioning labour market throughout Greater Copenhagen.
