Rethinking Rubbish - Tackling our Waste Problems Together

The project identifies some of the issues and problems with the increasing volume of waste produced by our communities. ESCC and SMEDAR, both responsible for waste management will provide shared solutions that lessen this impact on the environment and opportunities for others to replicate these actions. The project will address waste management at the technical, professional level and at the community level through: exchanges in know-how in waste treatment; sharing of experience (eco teams, waste analysis etc); educational awareness raising activities and a resource centre that will lead to a measurable reduction in waste. Also it will lead to environmental and economic improvements which are more efficient and practical.
