Description
Description | The RE:U-GEN project empowers Ukrainian children and adolescents affected by war and displacement to reclaim their voices through digital storytelling, resilience-building, and safe online engagement. Grounded in a child rights-based and trauma-informed approach, the project fosters creativity, psychosocial well-being, and active participation by enabling youth to co-create and share authentic digital content across Europe. Through a transnational network of digital content circles, an intensive residential content lab, and continuous mentorship, participants develop critical digital skills, strengthen emotional resilience, and build supportive peer communities. Gender equality, non-discrimination, and safeguarding are embedded throughout, ensuring that all childrencan express themselves safely and meaningfully. Led by Hungarian Interchurch Aid with a diverse consortium of child rights, psychosocial, and advocacy organizations, the project directly engages youth, mentors, and professionals across Ukraine, Hungary, Greece, Latvia, and Romania. By connecting youth-generated narratives with public audiences and policymakers, RE:U-GEN nurtures solidarity, cultural understanding, and inclusive democratic participation for a new generation. |
