The sites span approximately 202 acres. MCD plans to clear and flatten Okhla (62 acres) by July 2026, Bhalswa (70 acres) by December 2026, and Ghazipur (70 acres) by December 2027. The initial plan was to convert these areas into green zones, but now mixed-use development is being considered, including dense forests, integrated waste processing, and public use like tourism or recreation as per National Green Tribunal's order. |
