Revised Banks Plan New Arena and Iconic Tower

planned

A revised urban design plan for the Banks calls for a new arena to be built at the current Heritage Bank Center site, an iconic tower on the largest remaining vacant lot, and major public subsidy to create a district that feels like a neighborhood on ordinary days and a destination during extraordinary ones. The plan was submitted to the Cincinnati Planning Commission for future consideration. The city and county have agreed to work together to jump-start development along the riverfront, which has been stalled since the Covid-19 pandemic began in 2020.
