Description | This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites cooperative agreement research (U01) revision applications (formerly called "competing revisions") from investigators with active NIH U01 research project awards. These revision applications are expected to focus on the interactions of carcinogenic pathogens with the human microbiome and the host for the detection of pathogen-induced cancer (DPIC). This FOA encourages research to assess molecular signatures associated with risk and early detection of pathogen-induced cancer and chronic inflammation associated with progression to invasive cancer. Studies proposed in the revision applications must correspond to additional specific aims, expanding the scope of individual, already funded projects of the parent U01 Cooperative Agreement. |
