Description | The project consists of rehabilitating the landscape and historic garage building located at the Museum of Spadina in Toronto, Ontario. The project scope includes improving accessibility features (pathways, benches etc.) to meet provincial accessibility codes and improving access from the street; restoring the historic garage and chauffeur’s quarters into programming space by removing interior partitions; installing new flooring, finishes, lighting and a kitchenette; improving weather proofing; and, restoring windows and doors. The second floor will be restored by reworking the interior staircase, washrooms, kitchen facilities and windows. The project will result in improved accessibility and upgraded community and programming space for members of the public. |
