Revitalizing Rural Communities: Empowering Youth through Agriculture, Tourism, and Traditions

The goal of the cities of Foglianise, Piława Górna, and Fushe-Arrez, in collaboration with Slama and Socialinė iniciatyva, is to revitalize the perceptions and confidence of the younger generations living in rural areas by discovering—and rediscovering—the hidden treasures and opportunities within these communities. Additionally, it will encourage reflection and the sharing of best practices among local public authorities by learning from and improving upon each other's successful experiences. This will be achieved through the promotion of traditions, particularly those related to agriculture, product transformation, and local craftsmanship. If properly promoted and disseminated, these can become a driving force for development and, in the medium to long term, reverse the depopulation trend. It will also provide an opportunity to establish a lasting platform for collaboration among the partners and the represented cities, which, by sharing common challenges and opportunities, will offer innovative and effective responses to future needs.
