"Between August 22-24, 2025, the Zsadany commune in Hungary and its twin commune Tinca from Romania will implement the project ""Revival of Relations between the Twin Communes of Zsadany and Tinca"" This three-day intercultural exchange, held in Zsadany, will bring together 240 participants, including 120 from Tinca and 120 from Zsadany. The participants, aged 18-90, will be a diverse group, ensuring gender balance and inclusivity, regardless of age, gender, or background. The project aims to provide an organized platform for citizens of both communes to strengthen their social, cultural, and economic ties, fostering long-term cooperation for sustainable development. Project objectives: - Strengthening participants’ sense of belonging to the European Union. - Enhancing knowledge about the EU’s direction. - Building strong social, economic, and cultural ties between the two communes. - Increasing the sense of solidarity among participants. - Offering varied activities for both direct and indirect participants. Activities include: - Knowledge-building on shared history and European issues. - Sports like archery and football. - Cultural activities such as culinary contests, traditional dances, and presentations on local customs. Methods: Presentations, debates, roundtable discussions, best practice exchanges, brainstorming sessions, and performances will encourage active participation. The project will significantly impact participants, deepening their sense of European identity and solidarity while fostering long-term social and institutional cooperation between the two communes. Cultural exchanges will highlight the value of diversity, creating a foundation for future collaboration."
