The project addresses challenges of declining historical towns and the power of CCI to support their transformation. OBJECTIVES 1. Developing and testing innovative sustainable and inclusive solutions for reviving old historical towns and sites based on intercultural and cross-sector experimentation inspired by cultural heritage. 2. Nurturing young creative talents and building competences for innovation and participatory co-creation based on sustainable principles. 3. Promoting cultural values, potentials and perspectives of declining historical towns as future sustainable and inclusive living places. ACTIVITIES address four historical town centres in Slovenia, Romania, Spain and Finland in which young creative teams from 6 countries will work with locals on new visions and testing new creative solutions in real environment. Methodology based on living labs, inclusion, social innovation and the new European Bauhaus will be developed. Capacity building for young talents and cross-sectoral expert community, accompanied with in-depth assessment of experiments will support mutual learning and sharing. Communication, dissemination, and management activities will support implementation. At least 20 young creatives and 25 local stakeholders (administrations, cultural and other organisations) will directly cooperate. At least 300 experts (architects, artists, and other CCI profiles and local development experts) and 2000 residents, including migrants, refugees will be reached directly. RESULTS: At least 4 innovative inclusive solutions will be tested and living spaces revived, 2 places physically upgraded, competences of target groups for sustainable and inclusive revitalisation increased. KEY OUTPUTS: 1 methodology, 4 living lab-based experiments each 14 days, 4 roadmaps for future development of historical towns, REVIVE handbook, 10 bootcamps and workshops, at least 6 dissemination events, 1 final conference, 1 website, 1 ambassador programme, 30 news and articles.
