Rewari-Rohtak Railway Line [81.26km] incl new material Modification for shifting of Rohtak-Gohana-Panipat through bypass line

Information Ministry of Railways has come up with Rewari-Rohtak Railway Line & Modification Project with a ticket size of 1001 INR Crores. This project in Railway Track sub-sector involves Laying of New Track/Bridges. The current status of the project is out of total 86 km length, Rewari to Rohtak New line of 81 Km length has already been commissioned in 2013. Work of balance length of 5 Km length pertains to construction of viaduct in Rohtak City to shift the existing Rohtak- Gohana- panipat line in Rohtak City over this viaduct portion. The work is in advance stage of completion and planned to be commissioned in jan'2021. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Rewari to Rohtak New line of 81 Km length has already been commissioned in 2013. New elevated line of4.85 Km length has been sanctioned in Jan17 as part of this project. After commissioning of this line four busy level crossings in the heart of the Rohtak city will be eliminated. This will render better and safe train operation and will decongest the Rohtak city area.
