REWIRE Smart Remanufacturing Project

awarded

REWIRE is a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme aiming to accelerate Europe’s transition to smarter, more circular manufacturing by utilising robotics, AI, digital twins and FAIR data. It involves three Integrated Remanufacturing Demonstrators (IRDs) in Ireland, Italy, and Denmark to demonstrate scalable remanufacturing practices. The project develops a closed-loop Triage, Plan, Simulate and Assure framework to enable fast, auditable, and standards-aligned remanufacturing decisions that restore products to 'like-new' condition, maximizing material recovery and reducing carbon footprint.
