Description | The objective of the Reykjavik Hot Water Supply Project for Iceland is to extend the hot water supply system for the city of Reykjavik to allow hot water distribution to buildings not yet served, as well as new buildings that will be developed in the future. The project is designed to provide hot water for heating purposes to all residential and commercial areas of the city of Reykjavik. This project will allow the substitution of an imported commodity, fuel oil, for a natural resource commodity, hot water. This substitution will result in a savings for the economy of Iceland. This project will also allow the city of Reykjavik to charge adequate rates for hot water usage which will improve the financial management requirements for the Municipality. |
