Description

Description

The project contributes to the implementation of PCI 13.5: Callisto – Development of multi-modal CO2 hubs in the Mediterranean storing CO2 emissions from France and Italy, for the French part through the Rhône Valley of an approx. 312 km pipeline network, as well as a CO2 liquefaction and export terminal in the Fos-Marseille industrial zone. The project aims to carry out the technical studies for the implementation of Rhône CO2 infrastructure, procurement and contracting preparations, permitting and socioeconomic assessments. The project’s scope covers Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) studies for the pipelines and for the terminal, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and permitting process, CBA, financing and business plans. The project will be carried out by internal and external resources. The project’s deliverables are as follow: • FEEDs for the pipelines and the terminal complete; • Permit application submitted to the competent authority; • CBA, the business and the financing plans complete. Once these deliverables are obtained, the next steps for the French part of PCI 13.5 is obtaining administrative authorizations and then the Final Investment Decision, in order to launch the phases of detailed engineering and construction.
