The project entails the construction of the Riau 290 MW gas fired power plant in Tenayan Industrial Zone, Pekanbaru city. SPV is PT Medco Ratch Power Riau, a JV between the sponsors Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Plc and Medco Power Indonesia. Information about the financing of the project is not available. Total cost of the project is US$ 290 million. The period of the concession is 20 years under BOO. The natural gas will be supplied by PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara. In March 2019, $222 million loan agreement has been signed between the sponsors and Asian Development Bank (ADB), International Finance Corporation (IFC), MUFG Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to support the construction of the plant. The financing package consists of a $70 million A loan from ADB and $82 million B loan from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and MUFG Bank. IFC will provide $50 million for the project.
