Description | Construction is still underway on the Ridgecrest Elementary Southeast Entrance improvements. The project design includes several components that will improve pedestrian and bicycle access to Ridgecrest Elementary School, including: New Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb and bike ramps on both sides of the intersection at NE 165th Street and 12th Avenue NE. Installation of two school zone flashing signs with radar speed feedback on NE 165th Street. Flashing beacons with push buttons for the new pedestrian crossing. Reconfiguration of the driveway entrance to Ridgecrest Elementary School and installation of “bump outs.” This design will reduce pedestrian crossing distance and slow traffic along NE 165th Street. |
