Ridi Hydropower Development Company developed the 2.4MW run-of-river Ridikhola small hydropower plant, Gulmi & Siddeshwor, Palpa District. Annual output was estimated at 15.73GWh. The project signed a PPA with NEA in August 2006 and received a construction license in May 2007. The construction started in August 2008 and was completed in August 2009. The project was commissioned in October 2009. The civil works contract was awarded to Santoshi Adventure JV, from Bharatpur, Chitwan. Hydro mechanical work was awarded to Udeco-Structo JV, from Patan and Machhapuchchhre Metal and Machinery Works (P.) Ltd., from Pokhara Industrial State, Pokhara. The electro-mechanical equipment contract was awarded to Hunan Allonward Hydro-Generating Equipments Company Limited, from Hunan, China. Total project cost was Rs. 400 million (US$4.56 million). Financial closure date was ESTIMATED at November 2008 based on the 25% rule.
