Description
Description | Riga International Film Festival (RIGA IFF) was established in 2014 and has quickly become Latvia’s premier cinema event. Around 100 public screenings organised into one national and five international competitions gather a local audience of over 25 000 people each year. RIGA IFF FORUM is tailored to fit the needs of the film industry in the Nordic region focusing on creating new cooperations and strengthening existing ties. Both the latest and upcoming feature-length and short film projects are presented here. RIGA IFF is proud to qualify films for the European Short Film Award and the European Children’s Film Association prize. Every year, an international jury awards the festival's main prize, the Golden Rooster, to a feature film from the Baltic Sea region. |
