Once the project is commissioned, the RCWL will operate and maintain the Project for a period of 23 years, with an option to renew by mutual agreement with the NWC for an additional 5 years.Subject to due diligence, IDB Invest will provide up to US$30 million equivalent in Jamaican dollars as a part of syndicated loans for the RCWL. The project cost is approximately US$75 million in JMD equivalent, and the requested financing amount from the RCWL is up to US$60 million in Jamaican dollar equivalent by means of syndicated loans.
