The project involves the design, construction, operation and maintenance of 6 farms with total capacity of 319.2 MW Rio do Norte wind complex in municipalities of Jandaíra, Lajes and Pedro Avelino, Brazil. Each farm will be operated by a SPV, controlled by MV Holding SA, which in turn is controlled by EDP Renováveis ??Brasil SA, part of EDP Portugal. The project secured BRL 1 billion ($237.77 million) from BNDES which covers 70% of the total project cost. The project can be valued at BRL 1,428,571,428 or $339.66 million. Financial close was reached in January 2020.
