Description | Rio Grande LNG Train 4 is a liquefied natural gas project in Brownsville, Texas. NextDecade has secured $1.8 billion funding from TotalEnergies and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) who will be joint venture partners. GIP will acquire a 50% stake for $1.5 billion, and TotalEnergies will acquire a 10% stake for $300 million, with NextDecade investing $1.2 billion. The project is subject to a final investment decision targeted for September 2025. A $4.3 billion EPC contract was signed with Bechtel in August 2024. TotalEnergies Gas & Power North America has a 20-year LNG sale and purchase agreement for 1.5 million tonnes per annum from Train 4, indexed to Henry Hub. |
