Rio Orange Tree Art Project

completed

The Rio project is a public art installation at the Central and Baseline stop of the South Phoenix light rail extension. It includes orange tree sculptures, an installation on a building at the park-and-ride lot, and a statue yet to be installed. The artwork reflects the stories, history, and cultural themes of the surrounding community and is part of Valley Metro's investment in creating functional and welcoming transit spaces.
