Rironi-Mau Summit Road Project

cancelled

The Rironi-Mau Summit Road project is a key section of the Nairobi-Nakuru highway corridor, originally planned as a major infrastructure upgrade to ease congestion, improve safety, and reduce travel time between Nairobi and the western region. The project was initially awarded to French firms but was later cancelled before construction began. Subsequently, the project was handed to a Chinese contractor at a higher cost despite a reduced scope.
