Rironi–Nakuru–Mau Summit Highway Dualling Project

The project involves dualling the 175-kilometre Rironi–Nakuru–Mau Summit highway to ease congestion, improve safety, and boost trade along the Northern Corridor. The upgrade includes widening the existing two-way single carriageway into a four-lane carriageway from Rironi to Naivasha and six lanes from Naivasha to Nakuru City, with two or three lanes from Nakuru to Mau Summit. Additional infrastructure improvements include new interchanges, embankment reinforcements, retaining walls, street lighting, wildlife and livestock crossing points, bus bays, shelters, truck lay-byes, underpasses, and overpasses.
