Description
Description | The project RISE - Respect, Inclusion, Solidarity, Equality is focused on mainly on inclusion and supporting the groups in the society which were affected by COVID-19 and by its consequences and also by restrictions connected with it. The project consist of short-term (15 days long) volunteering team activities where volunteers are supporting people with fewer opportunities and special needs in the Czech Republic. During the activities volunteers will experience summer camps for children, young people and adults with disabilities and special needs; and support elderly house by organizing activities for its clients. The volunteers will meet people not only from different countries and cultures but also people with different opportunities and needs and different generations. Thanks to that we aim to spread the solidarity and respect among all the society and mutual understanding between different groups. Besides that, we aim to motivate the volunteers to stay active and think about different opportunities in the society and also different consequences of COVID-19 for them in their own countries and communities. Thanks to their participation in the project RISE, they will gain not only inspiration but also know-how and practical experiences for their own involvement in the field of interest in their local communities. On the other hand, the participants of summer camps and clients of elderly house will have opportunity to meet people from different cultures and the volunteers will enable them to experience valuable summer experiences which are usually dedicated mainly for people without disabilities. |
