RISI CREA-MEDIA-2025-FILMDIST The aim of this project is to promote dialogue and the circulation of European-produced films especially between two European countries, Italy and Portugal - but also opened to other EU filmographies such as Spanish, French, German, Swiss, Austrian and from the Ex-Yugoslavia area, among others -, where the presence of the respective cultural productions is scarce and of very little relevance. We believe that the importance of the project is mainly to disseminate some European values and ways of being conveyed by artistic objects, such as films. Is carried out by RISI FILM a distribution and audiovisual services company founded in 2019 and based in Lisbon. Its goal is to disseminate film culture and promote relations between Italy and Portuguese-speaking countries. Its activities are carried out mainly in Portugal but also in other Portuguese speaking countries (Brazil and incidentally in Angola and Mozambique). The project consists in the distribution of new Italian and Italian co-productions films on the Portuguese territory, paying particular attention to films that have been particularly relevant on the European festival circuit, such as Cannes, Venice or Berlin, and that have been acknowledged as being of evident cultural interest. The project will allow 10 to 12 new European films to be seen by the Portuguese audience during its period. We expect to reach between 20,000 and 25,000 people, which is the target audience we expect to see the films we will distribute during the project.
