Description | The project involves demolishing the existing 63-year-old Riverside County Police Headquarters building and constructing a new three-story, 37,838-square-foot building with modern accommodations at the same site. The replacement will include an enlarged parking area with 150 secured onsite employee spaces. The existing building is functionally obsolete with issues such as inadequate heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing failures, and insufficient power supply. The project was identified as necessary in 2017 following the approval of Measure Z to meet growing public safety needs. Holt Architecture Inc. is overseeing the redesign and replacement. Construction is expected to complete in 2028. |
