Description | The River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project in South Australia involves the construction of Northern and Southern Tunnels using three large-scale Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) operating concurrently. The third and final TBM cutterhead has been installed at the Central North Precinct in Adelaide. The third TBM will excavate 2.2 kilometres from Hilton to the Northern Precinct near Brickworks Marketplace in Torrensville and back. The project aims to deliver a non-stop South Road and is expected to be completed by 2031 or earlier. |
