RiverTech is a new technical magnet high school in East Hartford with a capacity of 288 students. It features a four-story building adjacent to the existing Pathways Academy and includes a unique astronaut training center simulating Mars surface missions. The school focuses on STEM education with four main areas: automation, production and fabrication, electronics and system integration, and data sciences including artificial intelligence. It offers students opportunities to earn college credits through partnerships with Goodwin University and the University of Bridgeport. The Mars simulation center is developed in collaboration with the Victorian Space Science Education Centre and occupies the building's fourth floor. The project also includes a business center for STEM companies to engage with students through internships and employment opportunities.
