Rivian EV Charging Station at High Tide Parking Lot

Rivian, a California-based electric car company, has proposed to build a new electric vehicle charging station at the High Tide parking lot located at 5 South Main St. in Brewer, Maine. The station will be part of Rivian's Adventure Network, providing quick charging stations along popular routes and destinations. The proposed station will have six charging spots with an additional four spots reserved for future expansion. The charging spots are designed to charge a car in 30 to 35 minutes and will be accessible to all electric vehicles as well as non-electric vehicles. The location was chosen for its proximity to restaurants, businesses, and the Brewer Riverwalk, allowing visitors to enjoy nearby amenities while charging their vehicles.
