Description | Rivian has broken ground on a $5 billion electric vehicle manufacturing facility located outside of Atlanta, Georgia. The plant is designed to support production of up to 400,000 vehicles per year and create over 7,500 permanent jobs, along with 2,000 construction roles during the buildout. Initial construction phases are underway with vertical build expected to begin in 2026. The facility will play a central role in the rollout of Rivian's next-generation vehicles, including the R2 and R3 models, with production ramping toward 2028. |
