The Riyadh–Qassim IWTP is a strategic water infrastructure project designed to support the provision of drinking water to the Riyadh and Al-Qassim regions. It includes a pipeline with a transmission capacity of 685,000 cubic meters per day and a length of approximately 859 kilometers, bi-directional flow capabilities, six strategic storage tanks in Riyadh with a combined capacity of 1.02 million cubic meters, and 32 operational storage tanks along the pipeline route with a total capacity of 571,000 cubic meters. The project integrates solar power solutions to reduce carbon emissions and relies on the national electricity grid. It will be developed under a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model with a 35-year concession period.
