RIZA: Building European Democracy with Women of Migrant Descent

Rooted in the EU founding principles of human dignity, freedom and democracy, RIZA’s main mission is to build capacity of 99 small-scale grassroots NGOs across EU Member States (MS) to uphold, protect and promote EU values and fundamental rights, over a period of 4 years and 3 funding cycles, with a focus on those in most isolated circumstances with least access to resources and opportunities, i.e. migrant and refugee women. Targeting all EU MS, and with a regional focus ( Nordic-Baltic, Southern-Mediterranean, Central-Eastern) in each granting cycle, the partnership of RIZA, ENOMW – Belgium/EU, Pangea – Italy, Monika – Finland, Melissa - Greece, will provide financial support and tailored capacity building to selected CSOs and grassroots organisations led by and/or working for and with women with a migrant background to reach to protect, promote and raise awareness of the fundamental rights and EU values,
