Description | In August 2011, a local private company Wulian County Yangguang Thermal Power Company Limited signed an agreement with the Rizhao City North Economic Development Zone to build and operate a biomass cogeneration plant in Rizhao City, Shandong Province. The plant would have a capacity of 25MW and the total investment was US$ 68.12 million (RMB 430 million). Construction commenced in December 2011 and came into operation in December 2013. Wulian County Yangguang Thermal Power Company Limited had a 100% stake in the project. A project company Rizhao Fenghe Biomass Thermal Power Company Limited was set up to implement the project. The concessional period of the project was not released. |
