Description
Description | Environmental site assessment studies were conducted and found the site to be contaminated. The main objective of the Project is to decommission the existing (approximate) 2.45 ha landfill site. This will be achieved by the removal of all recyclable materials, disposing of any blown refuse, decommissioning and removal of one (1) attendant building, and a final 3-layer soil cover over the entire landfill waste cells, followed by establishing vegetation cover over the final soil cover to limit erosion and facilitate the return to natural land. |
