RM of Livingston - Village of Arran Water Treatment Plant Relocation and Upgrade

The main objective of the project is to relocate the current water treatment system of the Village of Arran to a new space as the current water treatment plant building is collapsing in on itself. The current system is in the basement of an abandoned school building, and the location is prone to flooding due to the lowest level and partial roof coverage, increasing the risk of cross-contamination of precipitation to the Village’s drinking water. The condition of the building is not safe for the system operator to enter or exit the water treatment plant. The project scope involves the construction of a building, purchasing of new pumps to replace the existing ones, connection into the current distribution system, and increased treated water storage via installation of a water tank. The output of the project is a safe to access and upgraded water treatment plant for the Village.
