Description
Description | RISE foresees 9 short-term (1 month) Volunteering Teams coming to Italy across 2025-2027, that will focus on development of inclusive communities, involving young people facing fewer opportunities and highly vulnerable young people, with a particular focus on young people fleeing conflict areas and young people with intellectual disabilities. Through this project, indeed, on one side we aim at developing ESC Teams activities able to actively involve and empower the involved volunteers, including HVYP, organising activities able to meet the needs of the diverse involved target groups, while on the other side we aim at promoting the value of solidarity in the communities that will host volunteers and in the communities from where the volunteers are from. The activities will be held in different hosting locations in Italy under the coordination of Joint. We foresee the participation of 153 volunteers, 67% of which will be young people with fewer opportunities and/or highly vulnerable young people. Every Team will focus on activities in contact with nature and animals and foresees the implementation of activities that will involve the local community. Furthermore, we aim at strengthening the relationships of the members of the consortium with their local communities, by reinforming local networks for inclusion, that will support the recruitment of volunteers facing fewer opportunities and will help promoting the results. The results of the project will be spread to other organisations in the field, through the publication of 3 Handbooks and the development of a model of safeguarding policy for highly vulnerable young people involved in ESC Team projects. Furthermore, to guarantee visibility and continuation to the project, we will organize 27 dissemination events involving local communities and 14 Round tables on the topics of the project, involving local stakeholders, with the goal of designing new initiatives. |
