Description | In August 1996, New World Infrastructure (NWI) signed a 26 year joint-venture contract with the SOE, Guangning Highway Development Company, to build and operate a 19.5km dual 1-lane toll road linking Guangning County with Gaoyao City in Zhaoqing. NWI has a 55% stake in the jv, and invested US$ 4.66 million in the project - US$ 1.55 million as equity and US$ 3.11 million as a loan to the project company. The project costs US$ 7.77 million. The road includes a 301m bridge. In late 1997, it was expected to open for operation in early 1998. NWI predicted an average traffic flow of 3,500 vehicles per day in the first year and an average toll of Rmb 8 per vehicle. None None |
