The project includes replacing about a mile of overhead wire used to power MAX trains, installing a new wire tensioning system just west of the tunnel, replacing about 700 feet of track between Washington Park and Goose Hollow, replacing rail ties, and performing deep cleaning inside the tunnel. Shuttle buses will be used to transport riders during the closure. |
