Robinson Unmanned R66 Turbinetruck Cargo UAS Project

planned

Robinson Helicopter launched a new unmanned business unit, Robinson Unmanned, and detailed a new unmanned cargo helicopter offering called the R66 Turbinetruck. This project involves reconfiguring the manned R66 helicopter into an autonomous cargo platform equipped with Sikorsky's MATRIX autonomy system. The aircraft features a high-volume fuselage, cargo floor, and a nose-mounted clamshell door for rapid loading, with an internal payload capacity of up to 1,300 pounds. The project is a collaboration between Robinson Unmanned and Sikorsky, aiming to provide scalable, autonomous vertical flight systems for cargo transport missions.
