Project ROBOTICO will involve 3 project partners: Vocational School Đurđevac (LB), Educational District Centre of Kaposvár (Primary School Csurgó) (B1) and Primary School Ferdinandovac (B2). Location of the project implementation is the Koprivnica Križevci and Somogy Counties. Duration of project implementation will be 20 months. Direct target groups include teachers and students from LB, B1 and B2 schools who will take part in educations and joint workshops. Indirect target groups include families of students, the general public and interested parties that will learn about the project. The main goal of the project is popularization of the STEM fields related to robotics (with robotics being an interdisciplinary field teachers and students will learn about mechatronics, astronomy, programming and 3D modelling) through jointly developed extracurricular programmes, joint robotics camps with specialized workshops, knowledge and skill transfer among professors and students. LB already has experience in implementation of EU project and in the fields of robotics and programming, which will be improve and share with their project partners. Section for space technology also operates in LB and has good results with a high level of knowledge. To educate the teachers in the related fields of robotics, astronomy, programming and 3D modelling a joint one-week training for teachers will be organized by LB in Đurđevac. The new knowledge will then be transferred to B1 and B2 primary school students through 8 joint one-week robotic camps held in B1 and B2. For these activities the schools will need new sets of informatics and robotics equipment. This project is the first step towards the introduction of robotics extracurricular classes into the partner elementary schools. Through the development of extracurricular programmes with teaching modules the workshops will continue after project implementation. The main goal of the project is in line with the Specific Objective 4.1. Component 2 – “Co-operation in preschool, primary and secondary education and adult education”. Project is in line with the eligible Activities: - Developing, producing and distributing course materials (and digital content) such as teaching material, innovative text books, audio-visual/interactive materials, education software, distance/e-learning tools, - Purchase of equipment strictly as a complementary activity for jointly planned training courses and services, if the joint delivery of the planned activity could not be implemented otherwise in a quality manner. Project idea is also in line with the thematic objective 10. Europe 2020: Investing in Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning. Roles of partners: Organizing the Opening with press conference (B1), organizing Open Doors Day with press conference (LB); publishing of 2 newspaper articles (B1) and 6 articles on web-based news sites (LB, B2); modernisation of the informatics classrooms and purchase of robotics equipment (LB, B1, B2); refurbishment of classroom (B2); development of extracurricular programmes for teachers and students (LB, B1, B2); creation of robotics learning handbook (LB, B1, B2); printing of created handbook (LB); participation in joint training and robotic workshops (LB, B1, B2) and organisation and participation on the Study trip to Automatica international trade fair or a similar fair (LB, B1); organizing the Closing with press conference (B2); organizing 8 robotics camps in Csurgó and Ferdinandovac(LB, B1). Expected outputs to be realised and results to be achieved: - Increased knowledge of teachers and students; - Classrooms equipped with new IT and robotics equipment; - Robot with a telescope and camera programmed to record the sky; - Created joint extracurricular programmes for teachers and students; - Created robotics learning handbook. Cross-border character of the project – 8 joint robotics camps, 2 joint extracurricular programmes, 3-lingual robotics learning handbook and joint development of robots.
