This project proposes several measures, including channel widening and watercourse crossing upsizing to increase conveyance capacity of nearby channels, installation of floodwalls, and local/trunk sewer improvements to reduce the risk of urban flooding. These measures would involve the rehabilitation or expansion of various assets including bridges, creeks and one culvert as well as underground water linear infrastructure (wastewater conveyance related to basement flooding). Upgraded infrastructure will be designed and built to mitigate the current and future impacts of climate change, in this case flooding from severe storm events that are increasing in frequency and severity.
