Rockefeller Wing Video Documentary Project

A project involving the creation of a dozen short documentaries about specific heritage sites across sub-Saharan Africa, commissioned for the newly reopened Michael C. Rockefeller Wing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The videos provide contemporary context to the historical artefacts displayed in the wing, featuring cultural sites such as royal burial grounds in Uganda, ancient rock paintings in Botswana, and bronze casters in Benin City. The project was led by Ethiopian American filmmaker Sosena Solomon, with production support from the World Monuments Fund's Stephen Battle.
