ROCKMART STREETSCAPE ENHANCEMENT PROJECT - PHASE II

This project is a transportation enhancement in Polk County. Construction includes streetscape improvements in downtown Rockmart along: State Route 6 (Elm Street) from CSX Railroad right-of-way to Slate Street; Marble Street from State Route 6 (Elm Street) to 325 feet northeast of Elm Street Intersection. Portions of the project are along State Route 6. The improvements include demolition of existing deteriorated sidewalks and brick pavers and poured concrete. The existing curbs will be replaced and four existing parallel parking spaces will be repainted. The existing streets' cross sections will remain the same. Other improvements include street appurtenances such as benches, trash receptacles and improved pedestrian lighting.
