Description | Rodosol was awarded the contract to expand and rehabilitate the 68.4 km roadway linking Vila Velha to Meaipe in the state of Espirito Santo (estimated traffic flow: 8,000 vehicles daily). The project also included the rehabilitation of the Castelo Mendonca Bridge located in Vila Velha (estimated traffic flow: 46,000 vehicles daily). Rodosol's ownership was divided as follows: Servix held 33% of the shares, while Grupo Coimex and Grupo Tervap held 28.5% of the shares each. The construction works have started and the concessionaire is already charging tolls on the booths that existed prior to the concession award. Financing for this investments have been mostly provided by the sponsors own equity. In September 1999, Rodosol received a US$ 26.8 million loan from the state-owned bank BNDES. As of Dec. 2009, the shareholding structure of Rodosol was the following: Coimex Empreendimentos e Participações Ltda, 42,5%; Tervap Pitanga Mineração e Pavimentação Ltda, 42,5%; Urbesa Administração e Participações Ltda, 7,5%; Construção e Comércio Vitória Ltda, 7,5%. In 1999, the concessionaire invested US$ 24 million in infrastructure, while in 2000 it is estimated a total investment of US$ 50 million. |
