"The Office of the Plenipotentiary of the Government of the Slovak Republic for Roma Communities (hereinafter ""USVRK""), an organizational unit of the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic, performs the role of coordinator and implementer of the inclusion policy of marginalized Roma communities (hereinafter ""MRC""). The Plenipotentiary of the Government of the Slovak Republic for the Roma Communities, as the body responsible for the MRC agenda, oversees the implementation of the Roma Equality, Inclusion and Participation Strategy until 2030 and related Action Plans. The Government of the Slovak Republic approved by Resolution No. 181/2021 of 7 April 2021 Strategy for Equality, Inclusion and Roma Participation until 2030 (hereinafter referred to as ""NRIS""). This framework strategic document is a commitment of the Government of the Slovak Republic, which defines the direction of public policies at the level of priorities to achieve a visible change in the field of equality and Roma inclusion. NRIS represents a set of starting points and goals that are aimed at stopping the segregation of Roma communities, a significant positive turn in the social inclusion of Roma, non-discrimination, change of attitudes and improved coexistence. There are several main challenges, which USVRK would like to reflect in this application but the main aim is to support the involvement of Roma communities into decision-making processes with strong accent on gender equality, engagement of the Roma women and youth empowerment."
